Also, any service provider that stores such information to its servers and it consents, cooperates, or supports the import of illegal data onto the network is subject to imprisonment.

(c) Gambling Act

In Thailand, there is the primary law that governs gaming. Acts of betting or games listed as “Type A Gambling” or “Type B Gambling” are under the Gambling Act. Provision of gaming services and the gaming software are not listed as either Type A or Type B gambling, therefore, not subject to any license under the Gambling Act.


The rollout of 5G technology has is among the advancements that are enabling faster adoption of cloud gaming models, therefore, it will catalyze the power of cloud computing. The essence of cloud gaming is to empower players to play the games they want, whenever they want, on any device they choose, and with the people they want – a desire of companies to make this goal a reality.
